Barbara Februar Textile Design creates custom hand screened and hand printed materials for the interior design trade working mostly with velvets, silks and linens. Februar Textiles specializes in one-of-a-kind custom orders.

For the velvets Barbara is using a proprietary process on a specific blend of high quality velvet. This process leaves the velvet feeling completely soft, since there is no paint sitting on the surface of the velvet pile that would result in a scratchy feel or a stiffening of the drape. These soft feeling velvets are washable and ideal for use in drapery, table cloths, slipcovers, pillows, bedspreads and upholstery.

In 2003, along with a line of blossom scarves, Barbara Februar developed an exclusive line of silk scarves with roses and love poetry for Holt Renfrew.

William Switzer Fabrics showroom in Vancouver represents several lines of Barbara Februar: classic striped velvets in rich jewel colors, textured velvets with antiqued finish, silk taffetas with stenciled 16th century designs and dupione silks with ethnic texture block prints.
